CO2 levels monitoring and Airflow control system using Wio Terminal

PRODUCT DETAILS

Description

The kit provides the components needed to implement the CO2 levels monitoring and Airflow control system. The kit includes WioTermianl, Grove-CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor, Relay, Mini Fan, etc. The system can continuously detect and monitor the carbon dioxide level in the living room or bedroom and control the ventilation fan to improve airflow.

Naveen provided us with a tutorial on CO2 levels monitoring and Airflow control system using WioTerminal. In this project, the author used the Seeed Wio terminal to build a simple and portable device that displays the indoor CO2 level, temperature and relative humidity percentage on its LCD screen. When the CO2 level exceeds the set threshold, the built-in buzzer will start beeping, and the ventilation fan will be turned on to maintain the circulation and reduce the CO2 level. This device is especially useful during sleep, because poor air circulation can increase CO2 levels and affect health.

Before officially starting this project, you should prepare the listed Grove-CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor, Relay, Mini Fan, jumper, etc. After preparing these things, we can start to build our CO2 levels monitoring and Airflow control system using WioTerminal!

The main process includes Hardware Setup, building a development environment, adding external libraries to compile the code correctly, debugging and running. For specific operations, please refer to CO2 levels monitoring and Airflow control using Wio Terminal.

Features

  • Monitoring data visualization-real-time display on WioTerminal

  • Very flexible, with strong scalability and developability

  • Can be used for further analysis using inbuilt SD card module

  • Can be connected to the Cloud services using the inbuilt Wifi module.

Application

  • CO2 levels monitoring and Airflow control system

  • Carbon dioxide level trend and abnormal analysis and warning
